Tonight I had my 2nd visit here in a year. The first time I went here was last year with my friend as she had to put down her lab chow. It was a heart wrenching experience. However, the vet and staff were incredibly kind, thoughtful, empathetic, and treated him like he was there own dog. He went peacefully, thanks to their wonderful care. The staff made a horribly sad experience easier and for that my friend, her mom, and I were so very grateful. Tonight I went back with my own dog, my shepherd mix Bella. She was lethargic, salivating excessively, making hacking sounds, and her abdomen was distended. I feared the worst, GSV, otherwise known as bloat, which kills a dog within an hour with oftentimes only minor warning signs . It was my friends dog cause of death; and affects mostly large breeds. I didnt know if this ER was open, so I first called the one in LR. They were on a 6 hour wait, and unkind on the phone. I looked for other ERs online and found this one, and was thrilled to see it was open. From the moment I got on the phone with him, Darrell, the vet tech, was extremely kind, thoughtful, patient (as I was highly emotional) and explained very thoroughly the process and cost. He made me feel at ease in spite of my anxiety about my sweet baby being sick. He kept the same demeanor throughout my experience. He made me feel very cared for, and even more importantly, he took very good care of my sweet girl. I am grateful for him and the work he does. While at the clinic, I was called regularly and kept updated. As soon as I arrived, Darrell came out to get Bella within less than 5 minutes for her x rays. The staff was polite, calm, efficient, and overall very caring. They explained the charges well, and Bella’s condition well (which ended up being food bloat, not Bloat / GSV, praise God.) All emergency vet medicine is expensive, so that was expected. Yet I can honestly say that every dime I spent was worth it, to know my sweet girl is okay, and to get her medication to make sure she’s not in any pain. I would do it again in a heartbeat. For anyone who loves their pets like they’re own children, I would highly recommended this after hours clinic. Even if you live in Little Rock, they are most definitely worth the drive. I am grateful for the care they provided my Bella, and for the peace of mind they provided me with. Now she is home sleeping next to me, content as can be. - read less

The staff treated us and our cat with such kindness. We were kept informed every step of the way. Both the techs and vet were knowledgeable and patient. The discharge paperwork and debriefing were unbelievably detailed. Almost every single word verbatim from our initial phone call and on was documented. Would highly recommend.

I truly appreciate being able to check in on the phone before I got there and then call once I was there. I truly appreciate being able to check in on the phone before I got there and then call once I was there. I don't like not being able to go in with my pet but I understand their choice for continued precautions. I cannot thank Dr Gordon enough for being so thorough in his explanations, listening so well even though he was busy, and for his wealth of knowledge. He has out of the box thinking regarding difficult to treat chronic urinary tract diagnoses like my Cat has. He knows & accepts holistic & alternative options along with traditional treatments. That's refreshing. For once I felt like I was talking to a Vet who really knew their way around these diseases and has actually truly studied, tried and continues to consider other possibilities. I have no doubt he has saved many a Pet with difficult to treat diagnoses because of his diligence. He gave options for a variety of treatments, food, supplements etc in his discharge notes so that I could discuss it with my Cat's regular Vet. He even told me what he found worked for his Cat with similar issues. If he wasn't from Wisconsin, and if he had a regular practice locally, I would definitely take my Cat to him ongoing. I was impressed with Dr Eads, also, both times she has treated my Cat there on an emergency basis. They both are kind, caring and know what they're doing!! They also do not do any treatment or procedure without your consent. No, it's NOT cheap and that's why it's important to have pet insurance. For the price of a once a month dinner out at a restaurant you can have insurance that will reimburse 90%. Put the charges on your credit card or take it out of savings, put it on Care Credit and then get reimbursed. There are some pet insurances that will pay to the provider but many providers won't accept them because they can deny or it takes too long to get paid. I have Lemonade Pet Insurance and it is a Godsend. They have not denied one charge, even very expensive surgery at another emergency vet, all follow-ups, wellness visits and yearly shots even. You submit claims through their app and I'm often reimbursed either immediately, within 3 hours or no longer than 2 days. People talking about how expensive it is...I understand but medical care, and especially urgent medical care, is and always will be very expensive. It's up to us as pet owners to skip one nice meal out per month, or whatever else we choose to spend money on that's not necessary and that can make the difference in life or death of our Pet. I also wanted to add that the receptionist and vet techs have all been very nice and they and the doctors have had great communication! This has been a nice change from the poor communication I got from another emergency vet clinic. I hope I don't have to bring my Cat back but if I do I know he's in good hands! - read less

We had a great experience at this vet. It seems like most negative reviews are related to the price. It’s an after hour clinic so it is expensive so expect to pay a lot! But the care is incredible. They helped our dog feel better instantly. The nurses were great and so kind (Alicia) and Dr. Gordon was incredibly thorough and kind. He went over every lab value and went above and beyond to make sur… + read more

I took our new addition, Annie, in for vomiting and diarrhea three days after being spayed. My husband called ahead of time to make sure she would be able to be seen. I cannot thank this team enough for all their efforts to treat my family’s pup! We were able to pick her up the next day and she has been doing great ever since! - read less

Every person I talked to was professional and kind. I feel like they went the extra mile by not only providing my Sunny cat with top notch medical care, but also giving him love and attention. I felt like they truly cared about my cat. Although I hope we don’t have anymore emergencies, I will definitely return here if needed. They were excellent.

My dog is much improved and expected to recover. The only drawback was the price but I compared it to a human going to the ER instead of a regular doctor’s office for treatment. Unfortunately our regular vet does not do after hours emergency care so our choices were limited. I was emailed a detailed description of all care provided & it was comprehensive & top notch. - read less

Amazing professionalism from every staff member I interacted with. The Veterinarian and their staff were great at explaining what was going on and how they were going to help. Covid sucks and I hate that I couldn't speak with them while they were assessing her but they communicated over the phone with patience and compassion. Other reviews have mentioned cost....yes it cost more than a regular vet visit but that is to be expected from an after-hours clinic and the tests/procedures necessary to diagnosis and treat an acutely ill animal are costly to begin with---even at a regular vet. We had previously taken 2 of our fur-babies there when when knew it was time to let them cross the Rainbow bridge. And again, received compassionate care and service. Thank you for all you do when families are in the worst situations of their life. I know the job can't be easy. Bless you all!! - read less
